Locus Books
![]()
In 2007 Emily and I formed a collaboration that we called Locus. We were new to the publishing and bookselling world and Locus was intended as a way to think and learn about the industry and experiment with things that might or might not work. We started a blog about about independent publishing, a space for us to converse about the things we were learning and thinking about. In 2009 Locus officially came to an end, but all the old Locus posts are archived on this blog under the Writing & Publishing category, and have been tagged locusbooks. They’re still signed off in the old way, with an L. for me and an E. for Emily. All the old comments have been imported, too.
Blog comments policy
Unwakeable has a pretty open comments policy. Don’t be racist, sexist, homophobic or too big of an arsehole and you will be ok. I don’t mind anonymous posting, although because I get a lot of spam you do need to fill in an email address to get your comments on the site. If you want to do this anonymously use a fake email address, I really don’t care. Once your first comment (and email address) has been approved by me, any subsequent comments (with the same email address) will appear as soon as you post them. I like discussion and debate and think it’s ok if it gets fiery – but no personal attacks, please.
